Examples 2-3. Herbicidal composition is obtained similarly, but with other quantities of special additives - 1.7 and 3.0 wt.%.
The compositions obtained according to examples 1-3 were tested for herbicidal action and action on animals nearest to humans - monkeys and dogs.
Testing for herbicidal action was carried out as follows.
Different types of herbs and broadleaf plants were grown in a greenhouse in 7.5 cm diameter vessels filled with compost for 6 weeks before treatment.
Samples of the composition were diluted with water and sprayed on experimental plants using a laboratory sprayer. The volume of water used for dilution corresponded to a spraying volume of 200 l / ha. Samples of the composition were applied in doses corresponding to 50, 100, 200 and 400 g / ha of paraquat ion (compounds of formula 1). Experience 1. , 11l of each monkey measures the amount of paraquat-free compositions, giving a dose of dipyridyl salt or 100 mg / kg body weight. This amount is diluted with water to a volume of 20 ml and mixed with 10 g of Complan (trade name carboxymethylcellulose). The resulting mixtures are administered to the experimental animals.

The experiments on dogs were carried out on beagle dogs, dogs weighing from 9 to 12 kg.
Experience 3.4 The dogs were administered a composition containing 3.0% by weight of the said compound (3 mg / kg body weight). During the first hour after administration, all dogs suffer from vomiting, none of them die.
Test 4. Test 3 was repeated, but a composition containing 2.0% by weight of the said compound (2 g / kg of body weight) was used. All 4 dogs suffer from vomiting for 15 minutes, but all survive.
